I think I'm falling for you...(:

I don't know, but I think I maybe fallin' for you, dropping so quickly. I've been spending all my time just thinking about ya. I don't know what to do - I think I'm fallin' for you.
Do you think about me like I think about you?
You smile and say, "How are you?" I say, "Just fine" I always forget to tell you: I love you, I'll love you forever.
If anyone can make me fall in love, you can.
Maybe I'm amazed at the way I really need you...maybe I'm amazed by you.
Every time that I get around you, I see the best of me inside your eyes.
Just the thought of you can drive me wild, oh, you make me smile.
I keep believing someday you'll see, you don't have to be alone. There's somebody out there, somebody somewhere, to show you the tenderness you need. Somebody to hold you when worries control you, I'd give anything if only you knew it was me.
Maybe you're somewhere thinking about me too. To be with you, there's nothing I wouldn't do.
So I lay my head back down, and I lift my hands and pray to be only Yours. I pray to be only Yours. I know now you're my only hope.
I've been up, I've been down, you know my smile, you know my frown. I just love when you're around. I wanna be where you are.
Maybe were friends, maybe were more. Maybe it's just my imagination, but I see you stare just a little too long, and it makes me start to wonder...So baby call me crazy, but I think you feel it too. Maybe I just got to get next to you.
Why do I keep running from the truth? All I ever think about is you. You got me hypnotized, so mesmerized, and I've just got to know: Do you ever think when you're all alone all that we could be? Where this thing could go? Am I crazy or falling in love? Is it real or just another crush? Do you catch your breath when I look at you? Are you holding back like the way you do? 'Cause I'm trying, trying to walk away, but I know this crush ain't going away...

Every little thing you do, I do adore...
Everything you do, it sends me higher than the moon. With every twinkle in your eye, you strike a match that lights my heart on fire. When you're near, I hide my blushing face, and trip on my shoelaces. Grace just isn't my forté, but it brings me to my knees when you say: "Hello, how are you, my darling, today?" I fall into a pile on the floor. Puppy love is hard to ignore, when every little thing you do, I do adore.
We're as different as can be, I've noticed you're remarkably relaxed, and I'm overly uptight - we balance out each other nicely. You wear sandals in the snow, in mid-July I still feel cold. We're opposites in every way, but I can't resist it when you say:
"Hello, how are you, my darling, today?" I fall into a pile on the floor. Puppy love is hard to ignore, when every little thing you do, I do adore.

I'm falling fast...(:

Braces, Carrie Underwood, and Fall Break

A really random title for a post, I know. But those are the three things that have happened to me this past week! :D

Last Monday, I got checked out during the day to get braces! Fun, right? ha ha not really...

This is me right after they put those lovely braces on me, with the "Orthotime Orthodontics" t-shirt they gave me before I left that day.

This is me actually wearing the t-shirt, a few days later.

My mouth is starting to feel better, but to be honest, it hurt so bad the first and second days. I still haven't quite figured out how to floss around those pieces of metal stuck to my teeth, but I will get it figured out! :D ha ha I just have to keep reminding myself that I will only have to go through this once, and I will be SO very happy once they are off. (:

Wednesday evening, I went to the Carrie Underwood concert at the Maverick Center!!!! It was INCREDIBLY AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :) :) :) :) I went with my mom, my aunt, and my grandma (who is THE coolest grandma in the world!!! :) :))

Hunter Hayes - the one who opened for Carrie :)

Good Girl :)...the song she opened with!!

Jesus take the Wheel
Cotton Candy....yum :)

Fall Break. Oh, how I have waited for you to arrive. Wednesday and Thursday night, I was up super late, so I slept in Friday morning. I really slept in...until 11:30. I didn't set an alarm or anything! It was marvelous!! :D ha ha I don't get to do that very often. (:

My fall break has also consisted of: 3 babysitting jobs, a baptism, and Gardner Village (to see the witches!! haha) Too bad I have to go back to school tomorrow...oh well! :D It was so nice while it lasted! :D

Homecoming 2012

Wednesday, August 29, 10:20 pm. The doorbell rings.  My family and I had just finished studying the scriptures, and I was in the process of getting ready for bed. I thought, "Who in the world is coming to our house this time at night??" My dad went to the door, opened it, said, "Brianna, it's for you!", and then he closed it. I went to the door, in my PJ's, and hesitantly opened it. I was extremely surprised at what I saw. A bunch of toilet paper was strewn across my lawn. On the front porch, lay a big, fat roll of toilet paper that said, "unroll me!". In front of that, was a slip of paper that read,

"Brianna: Hey! I hope there's enough PAPER to say what I want. I was wondering.....
Do you want to ROLL to homecoming with me??"

I ran outside to gather up all of the toilet paper off of the lawn with my little brother (an order from my parents) and then ran back inside. I took the fat roll of toilet paper and started to unroll it. I came to find out that this mystery guy had scrambled his name, and written one letter at a time on one square, about every 20 squares. As I unrolled and unrolled all of the paper, my little brother was writing down each letter as I came across it.  I finally got to the end, and looked at the list of 16 scrambled letters. It took a minute before I thought, "Could it be?". Then I unscrambled his name, and, sure enough, it was the person I had a hunch it could be.

The next night, I went with my friend, who had also been asked, to drop off our answers. I bought a plastic container and filled it with tootsie rolls. I took one tootsie roll, unwrapped it, wrapped a slip of paper around it that said:

"Yes, I would love to ROLL to homecoming with you!!"

and then re-wrapped it in its original wrapper, and stuck it in the container with the rest of them. I put a tag with his name on the outside, and on the bag it said, "Unwrap the papers, one by one, and find the answer...oh what fun!" :)

So, now, fast forward 2 1/2 weeks to Saturday, September 15. Homecoming. There were 4 other couples in the group, and for the day date, about 1:30 in the afternoon, we went to one of the guy's houses to play games in the backyard.  We played croquet, Bocce ball, and ladder golf. It was a blast! :D Then I got dropped off at home, at 3:45, and I had until 5:00 to get ready for the dance.  I was running late, as usual, so he had to wait a little while for me. :P When I was finally ready, I gave him a boutonniere, and he gave me a GORGEOUS corsage:

After we left, we drove to a park to take pictures.  Tanner's (my date) sister-in-law was the one taking pictures. I just got them on a disk the other day, and they look amazing!! Here are my favorites (these are most of the pictures she took - I also have each one of these in black and white):

After pictures, we went to David's house to eat dinner, which the guys had prepared. It was delicious!! :D After that, we drove to the dance and had a complete and total blast there! :D Then we all drove home and called it a night. It was such an awesome day for my very first date and dance! :D

My Sweet 16th Birthday!

Hey!!! Wow - someone has been an AWFUL blogger lately!! :P I promise I am going to be better! (:

A month ago, today, I turned 16!!! It was so exciting!!! :D ha ha

The Saturday before my birthday, I got together with a few friends to go to an EFY Concert in Provo. So fun, right? (: When we got there, the place was DEAD. We were SO confused!! We had ordered tickets, gotten there early, and NOBODY was there. We finally called my dad, and he looked it up on the website. Unknown to us, the concert had been cancelled. Is that crazy or what?? Nobody even told us! :(

Ummm....where's the concert???

So, we had to come up with a plan B.  I didn't have any ideas, though, because we hadn't thought to come up with something else to do if this didn't work out.  We thought about it, and finally made a plan. First, we went to Forever XXI to try on some CRAZY outfits! :D It was great! Then, we all got to try on prom dresses!!! Ahhhh!!!! It was SOOO much fun!!! But a pretty weird thought knowing that I could go to prom this year...(:

Aww....sweet!! :)

After having a complete and total blast doing that, we went to see "The Odd Life of Timothy Green". Such a sweet and cute movie!!! (Warning: there's a possibility you will cry...I totally did...but don't let that stop you from seeing it! :))

Then, we drove U Swirl to have some frozen yogurt. Yummy!! :D

Breanna, Jessica, Rachel, and I

So, even though the evening turned out COMPLETELY different than I had expected, we still had a ton of fun!! :D

Alright, so these are the highlights from my actual birthday, or the third day of my Junior year of High School:

One of my fantastic friends told my choir teacher, Mrs. Warby, that it was my birthday. So, at the beginning of class, she made me stand up so the ENTIRE choir could sing to me. After I sat back down, she said, "So, how old are you turning today?" Immediately after I said, "16" she told me to stand up again. I protested, but she wasn't going to take "no" for an answer. Then, she turned to the boys, and said, "Boys, she is now on the market." It was kind of embarrassing...not as bad as it could have been, though. (: (Thank goodness!!)

At lunch, another one of my fantastic friends brought a plate of treats, and the group we were eating lunch with, all sang "Happy Birthday" to me. It was so sweet! (:

During the evening, my family and I drove up to Salt Lake to go to City Creek. (It was my first time ever and I LOVED it!!!) My mom and I went shopping for a little while, and then we all met up to go to The Cheesecake Factory for dinner. It was DELICIOUS!!! When it came time to order dessert, my mom told our waiter that it was my sweet 16th birthday today. He got my name, wrote it down, and a few minutes later he brought out an 'Oreo Dream Supreme' piece of cheesecake with "Happy Birthday Brianna" written in chocolate on the outside of the plate, as well as a lit candle on top. It looked beautiful! He had also rounded up several other guy waiters, and they all sang "Happy Birthday" to me. It was so funny! :D

Afterwards, I got a key chain at Claire's! I can't get my license until this Wednesday, September 26th, but I am SO EXCITED to start driving on my own!! :D

So, that's it for my birthday - sorry it's a month late!!

Thanks for reading! :)
