Cavestock 2014

Well, it's that time of year again. Cavestock at my high school!!! :) :) I have gone the past two years and I wouldn't have missed it my senior year for anything!! :)

First stop, was the face painting...well, we didn't get our faces painted, we got our hands painted...

Emily & Conner:

All of my friends!! #seniors :D haha

So, you know the fantastic chalk throw that takes place each year at Cavestock? Yep, that one. Guess what? My friends didn't want to do it! Can you believe them? It was crazy and it made me sad. But Noah wanted to do it, so he and I did it without any of our other friends. In the meantime, they had my phone and took some lovely pictures...

If you think those are bad, they should be counting their lucky stars that I didn't post some of the other ones they took on  my camera...they would probably die from humiliation. Haha :D

There is one, however, that is not like the rest. It stands out above any other. This amazing picture was taken by my friend Conner.

Is that awesome, or what? Here's a spiritual side note: Something to take away from this picture is that we each need to let the Temple be our eternal goal. Make it the top priority in your life as you strive every day to by worthy to enter the Lord's house. :)

Okay, back to the chalk throw.

Rachel as a gangsta...

The aftermath of the chalk throw!!

Don't you just love my spotted face? :) I still am baffled as to how I came out looking like that...

And of course, a late night shot of my colorful hair. :) Sweet, huh?

Noah sang in a band who played at Cavestock and it was awesome!! They did such a great job. Noah's little brother, Jonah, also played in a band and did great too.

After staying for a while longer, we all decided to go to JCW's for ice cream. And yes, I went despite the fact I was covered in colorful chalk. ;) It was delicious as usual. We were all so tired and basically falling asleep, but it was definitely worth it.

Well, that's it for Cavestock 2014!! The last one of my high school career. Super crazy to think about. But it was amazing!! Another super fun night I will definitely remember.

Thanks for visiting A Young Woman's Heart! Please come back soon!! :D

Lots of Love, Brianna

Family Vacation - Disneyland

April 29- May 4 2014 -- Family Vacation to Anaheim, California & DISNEYLAND!! :) :)

I know what you're thinking.  This girl went to Disneyland again?  She was just there for Choir Tour a month ago.  But alas, I went to the happiest place on earth for the second time within the short period of about a month.  It was wonderful :D

My INCREDIBLE grandparents planned and paid for this trip and they took all of us--all the uncles, aunts, and cousins--to Disneyland. How nice is that? They are truly the best.

It was a vacation to remember.

Here are the highlights from the trip:

THE HEAT

Prom 2014

Noah asked me to Prom on April 3rd, by singing me a song on his guitar.  It was absolutely amazing.  And of course I said yes ;)

For the day date, we went to the new aquarium not far from my house.  We went the Friday before Prom, and it was an absolute blast! I honestly had SO much fun. I got to walk around and talk to Noah a ton which was the best.  Our group was super fun to be with too.  After walking around the aquarium and looking at all of the fascinating creatures they have there, we left and went to JCW's.

Our group at the aquarium

There we ate dinner and sat and talked for a long time.  That was the end of our day date.

The next day, SATURDAY, APRIL 26th, was the big day.  That morning, we had a choir festival at a nearby high school.  It went well and was fun to perform yet again with my amazing choir. :)

Later that day, I got ready for the evening.  We've been through all of this before, but it includes the hair, the make-up, and the dress.  First, we had Nate's mom take our pictures.  Afterwards, we went to Brandan's house for dinner.  After that, we headed to the U of U Rice Eccle's Stadium for the dance.  Oh my goodness, it was an absolute blast!! Noah was a fantastic date and I had the time of my life!! :D :D

Classic shoe picture :)

I wasn't in the same group as any of these beautiful ladies,
but once I found them at the dance, I knew we
needed a snapshot of the besties :D
(Me, Jess, Rachel, and Breanna...oh, and ignore the lovely
photobombers in the background...:P :))

All of these amazing young men have received their
LDS mission calls to various parts of the world.
I absolutely love this picture. :)

I was really sad to see the last dance of high school come to an end, but I loved every second of it, and it was definitely a night to remember.

Thanks for reading!! :)
